Taste

Kamieleke wants to return to the original flavors of products. The heritage and history of “authentic” flavors. The taste of a tomato from the past is still so recognizable in my taste palette. Also the taste of salsify with a nice white sauce was so good. Does that mean it has to be gone? We don’t think so. Technology is one thing, but the composition of a product is another. Strawberries and tomatoes in hydroponics. Where has the taste gone? The taste of good open ground strawberries… technically we are now so much further and flavors can be acquired again or restored.

Understanding ‘just price’

If we look at the description of the external costs or the external effects, these are unintended side effects of production or consumption that influence the prosperity of someone other than the causer. This refers to the costs caused by, for example, charging for environmental costs or infringements on the landscape, soil or water, costs of elements that influence the climate, the health of humans and animals, the costs of infrastructure and the total price of transport. . Because the causer, the producer, does not notice the external effect himself, there is no reason to pass on anything in the price. That is why it is often said that external effects are not included in the price.

Kamieleke argues in favor of using the total cost price when setting prices.

Place of food and food costs in the household budge.

(role of food in the lifestyle + share of food…. )

Wouldn’t it be good and fair that a correct price is again paid to the farmer and producer? A price that will cover their costs and still enable a liveable life? The price for a product, for the farmer, has to go up and the costs of intermediaries and marketing have to come down considerably.

Against waste and individual packaging

Good steps are being taken to combat food waste and reduce packaging in general. Yet a complete turnaround In taking waste and surpluses into account is a necessity. Waste in all aspects of the food chain. From the field to the board, there must be a turnaround. Also wasting raw materials and limiting the intermediaries and marketing actions aimed at unbridled consumption and waste. Intermediaries that stand in the way of the much-needed correct compensation for the producer.

In addition, attention will also be paid to the packaging problem, especially when it comes to individual packaging. We applaud the emergence of packaging-free stores, in addition to providing our own packaging. Waste is also an important aspect in looking at the concept of ‘just price’ and in the role of money (see Kamieleke’s values).
